Job Description

The ROLE

As a Workshop Supervisor - Heavy Vehicles, you will oversee the maintenance and repairs of heavy vehicles, ensuring that all work is carried out efficiently, safely and in compliance with industry standards. 

  • Supervise and support workshop technicians, providing guidance, training, and technical assistance.
  • Allocate and monitor workloads to ensure efficient use of time and resources.
  • Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure repairs are performed to manufacturer standards.
  • Liaise with the Workshop Leading Hands to ensure clear communication on job status and priorities.
  • Promote and ensure a safe, clean, and organized working environment in compliance with OHS standards.
  • Mentor apprentices and less experienced staff, fostering skill development and career progression.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

About YOU 

  • Trade qualified Heavy Diesel or Mobile Plant Technician with significant hands-on workshop experience.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills within a workshop environment.
  • Experience with scheduling, job delegation and coordination of employees within a large workshop.
  • The ability to prioritise work with excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with employees and customers effectively.
  • Outstanding time management skills with proficient computer skills.
