The ROLE
As a Workshop Supervisor - Heavy Vehicles, you will oversee the maintenance and repairs of heavy vehicles, ensuring that all work is carried out efficiently, safely and in compliance with industry standards.
- Supervise and support workshop technicians, providing guidance, training, and technical assistance.
- Allocate and monitor workloads to ensure efficient use of time and resources.
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure repairs are performed to manufacturer standards.
- Liaise with the Workshop Leading Hands to ensure clear communication on job status and priorities.
- Promote and ensure a safe, clean, and organized working environment in compliance with OHS standards.
- Mentor apprentices and less experienced staff, fostering skill development and career progression.
- Providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
About YOU
- Trade qualified Heavy Diesel or Mobile Plant Technician with significant hands-on workshop experience.
- Proven leadership and team management skills within a workshop environment.
- Experience with scheduling, job delegation and coordination of employees within a large workshop.
- The ability to prioritise work with excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with employees and customers effectively.
- Outstanding time management skills with proficient computer skills.
