The ROLE

As a Safety Advisor you will be required to work closely with key stakeholders that have HSEQ involvement in the projects that you are assigned. Your responsibilities will include the following:

- ensuring project teams are adequately trained to perform HSEQ responsibilities and provide ongoing coaching to ensure total compliance with internal systems and legislative requirements

- support the PM & Site Supervisor in the implementation of the Hazell Bros Integrated Management System

- influence a positive attitude and commitment towards safety across the business

- Drive a Safety 1st Always Works culture through positive engagement and coaching with all Key Stakeholders

About YOU 

- Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety or equivalent competence

- Recent experience in a Safety Advisor role within the Civil Construction Industry

- A clear understanding of project specific contract HSE requirements

- A qualification in AOD testing will be highly regarded

- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships and collaboration with all internal and external customers

- Exposure to return-to-work programs and ICAM investigations

- Experience with Environmental Controls and Compliance

- Previous experience on TMR projects would be highly regarded
