Job Description
The ROLE
We are currently seeking a Plant Operator to join our team at Nyrstar Port Pirie in Full-Time permanent position. This position will form part of our materials handling team working across various Plant and Equipment with the prospect to undertake relief supervision duties when required by the business. The successful candidate will need to have solid experience with any of the following machines:
Front End Loader
Excavator
Articulated Dump Truck
Skid Steer
Water Cart
Forklift
About YOU
A commitment to Safety 1st Always Works whilst adhering to onsite safety requirements
Proven experience in operating and maintaining heavy plant machinery
Loading and moving materials in a warehouse / stockpiling environment
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work unsupervised and within a small team
Excellent organisational and time management skills with a high level of attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to lead an operational team, maintaining a high-performance driven workforce
Ability to assist Management via performance management of the operational team whilst undertaking relief supervision duties
