Job Description
The ROLE
Supervises workshop staff, including tradespersons and apprentices, ensuring efficient task allocation and performance monitoring.
Manages production schedules, allocates resources, and oversees workflow to meet deadlines and quality benchmarks.
Ensures compliance with standards, leads daily pre-start/toolbox meetings, and promotes a safety first culture.
Prepares accurate cost estimates for internal and external clients.
Interprets workshop drawings to guide the teams work in structural steel.
Maintains workshop cleanliness, equipment readiness, and service schedules.

Desired Skills and Experience
About YOU
Must haves
Trade qualificattion in metal fabrication/boiler making.
5+ years relevant experience in a workshop/fabrication environment, with 1-2 years in a supervisory or leading hand role.
Proficient in reading technical drawings and fabrication documentation.
Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills to efficiently manage teams and production challenges.
High-level commitment to quality, safety and organisational standards.
Desirable
Forklift ticket
Medium Rigid licence.
