About the OPPORTUNITY
Passionate about the environment and continuous improvement? Hazell Bros is seeking an Environmental Advisor to ensure our environmental practices align with legal requirements, ISO 14001 standards and community expectations. Reporting to our Environmental Manager, this is a great opportunity to build a career with an iconic Tasmanian family-owned business and Employer of Choice.
About the ROLE
Implementation of environmental measures across Hazell Bros operations
Managing environmental assessments including soil, water, flora and fauna, noise, dust and vibration
Developing project specific environmental management plans
Site inspections and audits
Reporting environmental performance and compliance
Liaising with project teams to ensure works comply with all legal and other environmental requirements
Mentoring employees on best practice environmental management and communicating with clients and external stakeholders
Desired Skills and Experience
About YOU
Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
Sound knowledge of relevant environmental legislation and approval processes
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Full Australian drivers licence - intrastate travel required for the role
