The ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team on the Gold Coast to help drive strategic growth within our Queensland business. Reporting to the Executive General Manager Northern Construction, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for cultivating strong relationships and implementing initiatives in line with the Hazell Bros Queensland Strategic Business Plan. This position will suit a dynamic leader with proven experience, ideally within a construction environment or similar. The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with managers to develop business initiatives and achieve growth in line with Hazell Bros strategic intent
- Identify opportunities for lead generation and cultivate relationships with prospective clients
- Nurture existing relationships with key stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and retention
- Develop and implement marketing activities to promote the Hazell Bros brand in Queensland and showcase key capabilities
- Understand key client drivers and support the formulation of proposals that are clear, concise, compelling and supported by evidence
- Maintain records and analyse results to ensure outcomes are achieved
About YOU
- Proven ability to drive strategic business growth, ideally within a construction setting
- Excellent relationship management skills and a network of contacts within the sector
- Ability to influence decision making, ensuring mutual understanding and satisfactory outcomes for all parties
- Solution focused with a demonstrated capacity for strategic and analytical thinking
- A proven ability to align marketing activities and proposals with the objectives of the Business Plan
- Outstanding communication skills with a flair for marketing
- Attention to detail, excellent presentation skills and the ability to prepare high quality, engaging documents
- Strong facilitation skills with a clear drive for continuous improvement and delivery of quality outcomes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Excel) and InDesign or similar graphic design skills.
