Job Description

The ROLE

As an Auto Electrician at Hazell Bros, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems in a variety of Heavy Vehicles and Earthmoving equipment.  This position is based in our Hobart workshop, but offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to Field Service team and other Hazell Bros sites and workshops.

  • Diagnosing electrical faults in heavy vehicles and equipment.
  • Repairing and replacing faulty wiring or electrical components.
  • Installing new electrical systems or components in new vehicles.
  • Conducting regular maintenance checks on automotive electrical systems.
  • Adhering to safety standards and regulations at all times.
  • Collaborating with other team members to ensure efficient workshop operations.
  • Maintaining accurate records of work performed and parts used.

About YOU 

  • Qualified Auto Electrician with relevant trade certification.
  • Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical systems in heavy vehicles and equipment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
  • Ability to perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance efficiently.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle computer systems and electronic components.
  • Experience with fault finding and using diagnostic tools to identify electrical issues.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to electrical work.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Aptitude for problem-solving and working under pressure in a fast-paced workshop environment.
